Rider HomePage | Photos | Club Affiliation | Classified Ads | Messages | Photo Upload
Create an New Rider account (minimal info asked for, you will also input a homepage password).
Your rider info creates your personal Rider HomePage (example here)
Save the link after you save your input & view your page.
Go to your Rider Homepage (if you didn't save your HomePage link, Search to find yourself or save the link after you finish your initial entries)
Select EDIT and then log into your Rider Homepage using your Password
Once logged into your homepage...
From your homepage you can....
Update/change your info
Leave a Broadcast a message
Leave a Classified Ad
Add biker events (coming soon) to the Events page
Upload a photo that will get randomly featured on the front page.
Your detail page contains your information (name, email, state, comments, photos, etc....) and is your portal to interact with the DataBase. What you enter here will define your HomePage for others to locate (via search functions), view & possibly make contact.
You should have bookmarked it when u initially entered your data. It's an easy task to find your rider detail by using the Detail Search function. Just enter enough known information (even partial words work) first name, and/or your state, town, etc... and you will easily find your record. Bookmark when it is displayed.
While viewing your rider info you can press EDIT and enter your password you entered when you signed up. If you forgot your password, you have the option to have it email to the email address in your rider detail.
When you EDIT your detail page (YOUR password required), here you can change your information you initially entered when you joined MCRDB.com. Also while in the edit mode you can leave a message for all riders on the Message page. Also while in EDIT mode on your detail page, you can leave a classified ad to appear on the Classified page.
To upload a member photo to your HomePage, EDIT your HomePage detail. There you wil find a link to start the photo selection/upload process.
The photo you upload will be displayed at the top of your HomePage along with the photo defined by the Photo Link (to a photo you already have on the web).

This photo link should be to an individual photo you have on the web. Not a web page.
The photo (resized) is displayed at the top of your Rider HomePage. Any Uploaded photo (resized) is first.
The link should end in .jpg or .bmp.
Use any photo sharing service to get your face/bike/whatever on the web.
A few....
If you have a Yahoo ID, you can paste your Yahoo profile page link.
Just be sure viewers don't need an account & viewers have to log in to view your photo(s).

Long link names? Use TinyURL to shorten it & paste into the photo link field in your rider info
The club search function simply searches on club name text strings in this field for each rider.
Be consistent in your club/forum name spelling.
Extra spaces can screw up the match. Check how others in your club are spelling your club name.
Only clubs with more than 10 members are shown. Email me if your club reaches 10 members or more. I'll add it to the list.
You must type in your club names in the club(s) affiliations(s) input field on your rider HomePage.
You can separate multiple clubs in your club affiliation field by a comma or space. You cannot SEARCH on multiple clubs names.
Since the club members search is just a match of an exact club name with a text string in your Club Affiliations field. Extra spaces can screw up the match. Check how others in your club are spelling your club name
To leave a short (160 characters max) classified ad & optionally a link to a photo and a link to an info web page you may have, go edit your rider detail page (your password required). Find your rider detail by searching for yourself (then bookmark it so you don't have to search next time). Hit Edit and enter your password. At the bottom of your rider detail is a field for entering a classified ad. This is where your type your ad and any link info. It shows up here after you hit submit. A link to your rider detail (& email contact) will be automatically added.
Ads are purged every 2 weeks (just resubmit). Keep them motorcycle related. No way to correct or delete. Just re-submit.
To leave info about an event & optionally a link an event info web page, go edit your Rider Home Page (your password required). Find your Rider Home Page by searching for yourself (then bookmark it so you don't have to search next time). Hit Edit and enter your password. If yoiu forgot it, have it emailed to yourself (to the email your entered in your Rider Home Page detail).
At the bottom of your Rider Home Page is a field for entering a Events info. This is where your type your event info and any web site link. It shows up here after you hit submit. A link to your rider detail (& email contact) will be automatically added.
Please check the list to make sure it's not already listed.
Please delete when the Event is over. Help keep this area cleaned up
To leave a short (80 characters max) message , go edit your rider detail (your password required). Find your rider detail page by searching for yourself (then bookmark it so you don't have to search next time). Hit Edit and enter your password. At the bottom of your rider detail is a message field. This is where your type your message. It shows up here after you hit submit. Keep it clean!!! Messages over a week old will be purged.
Only .jpg images. Size less than 800x800. Your photo is automatically resized to fit.
Go into your rider HomePage. EDIT your info (YOUR password required). At the top, there is a link to begin the photo selection & upload process. Before the photo selection & upload process begins, you will be asked for YOUR password again. You then browse to select a .jpg photo on your computer and click UPLOAD to upload it to your Rider HomePage. The photo file is verified that it ends in .jpg, verified that it is a .jpg format file, resized, and renamed to your rider_ID.jpg (each rider entry has a unique Rider ID associated with it).
You can upload as often as your want, the single photo is replaced. You do not have to delete any photos. The thumbnail shows up in your rider detail page.
If you provide Photo Links (a link to a .jpg file) in your Rider HomePage, it is displayed below your uploaded pic. These photos linked to are not stored on the mcrdb.com site.
